Do I Look Like I Want To Be On Survivor????
I realize that ladybugs are VERY beneficial in the garden, but... when you buy a bag of lettuce that is marked "Washed and Ready", you would think that it would be "washed" and "ready" right? Well, let this be a lesson for all you non-lettuce washers out there.... I bought two bags of Fresh Express (hearts of romaine) at Publix last week (Buy 1 get 1 free- of course). And what did I find in BOTH bags? DEHYDRATED LADYBUGS!!! I'm all for protein, but I prefer it in the non-insect form (cow, chicken, bacon...) Thankfully, my momma was wise enough to teach us to be leery of grand promises of pre-washed vegetables, so I avoided what may have been my first audition tape to Survivor (you know eating bugs and all???) Anyway- WASH YOUR VEGGIES OR EAT BUGS! THE CHOICE IS YOURS!
Where are the pictures of the DEHYDRATED LADYBUGS?!?!?!?!

i have a picture of one of them, but it was such a small object that the camera wouldn't focus on it so it looks more like a peppercorn (haha).
ReplyDeleteEww!
ReplyDeleteMaybe those lady bugs were wanting to join us for Kinley's party.
ReplyDeleteI never wash our letuce, and we always buy that brand... wonder if we've been eating lady bugs. Hmmm, maybe I should start washing it.
ReplyDeletePoor ladybugs! I will most assuredly be more careful. Gives me the shivers thinking about it.
