Did the Post Office Tamper with My A/C?

Ok, now we've gone too far!!! You can't take the comfort of Air Conditioning away from a pregnant lady in the middle of October in Florida!

I may have been a bit hasty in blaming the post office for the fry incident, but were they vendictive enough to tamper with the A/C while I was off quilting today?

When I stepped inside, it was as if the heater were on. The temperature was 85 but the thermostat was set at 76... I immediately called Jim (I am still convinced that my mighty man can fix anything even if he's not at home!) he instructed me to turn off the A/C for 10 minutes and then to turn it back on. I did as he said (only I waited longer than 10 minutes). About 20 minutes ago I turned it back on, and it may be cooling a little more... I can't really tell, although the temp is reading 84 now.... I will give it another hour and see...

Tune in later for more updates on the Post Office vs. Pregnant Lady...

One thing is for sure, it couldn't have been Gary today, after all, I had the car all day.

Even Gary's not that mean to mess with a pregnant lady's a/c! :)

*****UPDATE*****
Well, unfortunately our A/C is not working. By 7:30 last night, the temperature was still reading in 83/84 so we went over to Sal's and Val's to watch Survivor with the hopes that the A/C would cool the house while we were gone.

At 9:00 we walked back over to the house only to find it had only dropped to 81 (and that's because the sun had gone down).

So, we got our jammies and pillows and of course you can't have a sleep over with out cake and ice cream and headed back over to Sal's and Val's and we had a campout in their guest bedroom for the night.

Today, the A/C repairman will be coming out, and hopefully fix the A/C to cool to a frigid 76 degrees (or 73- depending on how hot/cold I am feeling tonight)

G-R-R-R! At least you weren't 9 months pregnant in AUGUST...now that was hot! Thinking Cool Thoughts for you! :-)

I can sooo sympathize. We had our bathroom floor torn out for a good part of the time from 30-35 weeks pregnant, then again at 38 weeks. It was July and August and it didn't make sense to turn on the AC to cool under the house! I sat in the office with a fan on me for several days. We stayed 7 non-consecutive nights in a hotel. I spent several nights by myself at the Whipp's house. It was terrible!
I'm glad you got it fixed!
