Jim had quite a bit of misc. items to return at Home Depot (things leftover from our house in Tampa, things leftover from who-knows-what) we thought the best way to utilize the store credit would be to get a couple of tomato plants, basil (bosnigol as the Italians say) plants and some cilantro seeds (along with pots and soil and cages etc...)
Jim's grand hopes are that we will be able to start making our own tomato sauce (hence the tomatoes and basil)... I just hope that I don't kill them. I have the job of watering them...

Yummo! I will help try out the first batch. ;)
herbs are very easy to grow, tomato plants aren't always that easy! I hope you have better luck than we ever had!
Oh yeah, I can't wait for the invite to try out your first batch of tomato sauce!
