Do I Look Like I Want To Be On Survivor????
I realize that ladybugs are VERY beneficial in the garden, but... when you buy a bag of lettuce that is marked "Washed and Ready", you would think that it would be "washed" and "ready" right? Well, let this be a lesson for all you non-lettuce washers out there.... I bought two bags of Fresh Express (hearts of romaine) at Publix last week (Buy 1 get 1 free- of course). And what did I find in BOTH bags? DEHYDRATED LADYBUGS!!! I'm all for protein, but I prefer it in the non-insect form (cow, chicken, bacon...) Thankfully, my momma was wise enough to teach us to be leery of grand promises of pre-washed vegetables, so I avoided what may have been my first audition tape to Survivor (you know eating bugs and all???) Anyway- WASH YOUR VEGGIES OR EAT BUGS! THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

Where are the pictures of the DEHYDRATED LADYBUGS?!?!?!?!
143
i have a picture of one of them, but it was such a small object that the camera wouldn't focus on it so it looks more like a peppercorn (haha).
Eww!
Maybe those lady bugs were wanting to join us for Kinley's party.
I never wash our letuce, and we always buy that brand... wonder if we've been eating lady bugs. Hmmm, maybe I should start washing it.
Poor ladybugs! I will most assuredly be more careful. Gives me the shivers thinking about it.
Hugs
Amy
