Some of you may know that my niece, Abbey, had some tests run today to determine if she had any problems with her bladder or kidneys. At seven years old, you could only imagine the apprehension she must have felt about the procedure. We had all been in prayer that the Lord would comfort her during this time, and that everything would be fine... Uncle Jimmy even put her favorite church song on a
cd for her to listen to ("It is Well"). Well, she was such a brave girl! They did an ultrasound and took "pictures" of her bladder and kidneys (which she said, "it was cool!") and the technician said she saw a McDonald's
hashbrown in her belly from Breakfast... Abbey was just amazed! The other procedure was uncomfortable for her, but it was over pretty quickly and she was given a doll (whom we named
Mylie- from Hannah Montana of course) and it was almost as big as her... what a great facility!
We then went to eat lunch, where Abbey was treated to a hamburger, fries, and an Oreo milkshake (
yumm-o) and later in the day went to another facility so the doctor could look over her results! The best news was, that there was nothing found! The doctor said everything looked healthy, all her organs seemed to be the normal size and that everything was in working order!
At dinner tonight, Abbey asked to say the blessing. Usually she says, "God is great, God is good" tonight, she said...
the sweetest, most heartfelt prayer... Thanking the Lord for all that had happened today(I think everyone in the family had sent, or brought her something to make her feel better), and for everything being ok with her tests... She's got a heart of gold, that little one!
Thank you Lord! Thank you to all who said prayers for her...
