Look It's A Baby!

I know everyone was expecting pictures of Baby Lindsey... but I thought I would share photos from our first ultrasound yesterday.

The minute the tech placed the wand on my stomach, I instantly saw our child! I couldn't help but cry... it was the most amazing site to ever experience. The baby was moving around non-stop, although it's too early for me to feel it. We were even able to see the heart beating on the monitor. Once in the exam room, the nurse held a mobile doppler to my stomach, and we were able to hear the heart beat as well. But, with as much as the baby was moving it was difficult to hear the heart beat more than a second. Still, it too was amazing!

Dr. Schwartz said that every thing looks normal and I am apparently a little farther along than we thought. I am about 13 1/2 weeks (instead of 11 1/2 weeks) so our new due date has been set for November 17!

You will notice in these two photos that the baby's head is on one side, and then in the next pic it's on the other side. That's how much he/she was moving.

Baby Spezzano is so cute. I think if I went to our "box O pictures" I could probably find MaMa's Ultra sound of you and I bet they would be just alike. What a Blessing, for you to be able to experience
1st hand Gods gift of life. There are many more to come.

Love
Dad

I'm just sure that it's going to be a little boy. I'm so excited for you, Kelly. He's just amazing.

Thanks for sharing! I know I always cried the first time I heard each of my baby's heartbeats (the ultrasounds weren't scheduled until 17-23 weeks). New life is truly a miracle!

WOW -- your baby was moving around a lot! I have never seen them completely flipped between two consecutive shots. Had you had a Coke about half an hour before the sonogram? ;) Or maybe s/he is going to be quite the busybody!

How are you feeling?

Love,
Lori.
