Why Oh Why?

We have hit the "why?" phase in our house.... and boy does it try a lady's patience!

Joshua: Momma, why you taking those covers off your bed?

Me: Because they need to be washed.

Joshua: Why?

Me: Because they're dirty.

Joshua: Why?

Me: They get dirty when we sleep on them.

Joshua: Why?

Me: Because our bodies sweat and get them dirty.

Joshua: Why?

Me (walking out of the room): Joshua, STOP ASKING WHY!

Joshua (running down the hallway behind me): WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? (I am not kidding, he seriously did this)

Hahaha...I love the cartoon you used!

I would frequently do the "why" thing to Mom all the way through my teens just to watch her pull her hair out and banish me to the backyard. But I'm sure Joshua will never do that to his darling momma!!

Ahhhhhh! Mimmy loves that boy! Lindsey has some days where she asks "why" alot, but not to the point of me wanting to drop kick her to the curb. I don't really remember Brooke and Abbey ask "why" a lot, but good golly, I remember Brady!

I am hoping to bypass the why stage because I don't think I could handle that one along with the one my two are in now. The "no it's not" stage. Doesn't matter what I tell them, whether they've asked a question and I am answering it or I am telling them the dangerous thing that will happen if they do what they are fixing to do. They (James especially) always, always reply with "NO IT'S NOT"!!!! Grrrrrrr....... :)
